Summer Fruit Shakes and Coolers

SUMMER FRUIT SHAKES FOR YOUR VACATIONS

Mango Peach Shake
Serves 1-2

  • 1 cup diced mango
  • 1 small peach
  • 1 cup vanilla sorbet
  • 1/2 cup low fat milk

Put mango and peach in a blender. Blend till smooth. Add sorbet and milk and blend until ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Serve.

MELON SHAKE

Cut a medium-sized melon in half. You will only need one portion so set aside the other half. Cut the half melon into slices and scoop the flesh with a spoon or teaspoon, then cut into cubes. Place the cut melon in the blender, add sugar (honey works too), pour in about half a cup of cold water and top with lots of ice. Pulse the blender a couple of times to start the processing. Then, set on low and process of about 15 seconds. When all the ice is nearly crushed, turn off the blender, open the lid and add some milk for more creamy taste. Blend again for about 10 seconds. Serve.

Banana with other Fruits Shakes

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup liquid
  • additional fruit or flavoring
  • optional sweetener- honey or sugar

To make, break frozen banana into pieces and put in blender. Cover with liquid. Add any additional fruits, flavorings, or sweeteners. Blend for about 30 seconds. Serve immediately (banana will start to brown if you don't). Enjoy!
